2010-2011 SEASON ANNOUNCED

In June 2010, the Playhouse begins its 68th Season of continuous operation with two newly released Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals. We kick off with "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," a charmer about a group of misfit over-achievers and follow up in July with "The Drowsy Chaperone," a spirited, tuneful show that is sure to put a smile on your face and a tap in your feet.

In the fall, the Playhouse will tackle, "Doubt," the gripping Tony and Oscar-winning story of a priest facing grave accusations.

We continue our tradition of family musicals for the holiday season with a true Christmas classic, "Scrooge!-the musical" based on Dickens "A Christmas Carol"

Next, Mistaken identity abounds in "The Importance of Being Earnest," a classic 19th century farce which will receive a mid-20th century treatment.

The Mainstage season wraps up in the Spring of 2011 with another recent Tony-winner, "The 39 Steps," a screamingly funny adaptation of Hitchcock where 4 actors play over 100 roles.

To compliment this exciting line-up, the Jr. Playhouse offers a great slate for young audiences with The Emperor's New Clothes, Snow White, and Alice In Wonderland.
