JUNIOR PLAYHOUSE SUMMER THEATRE CAMP

JUNE 17-21, 2024
In our “Little Stars” classes (Rising grades 3-6), we will use improv and theatre based games to enhance our abilities onstage and in front of an audience, to learn how to work within a group of like minded students, and to fully understand the meaning of the word “play”. In our “Bigger Stars” classes (Rising grades 7-12), we will focus on theatre techniques used across the globe, scene study using both modern and classic texts, and imagination based exercises meant to help the students create their own theatre.
These two camps will culminate in a combined Showcase where the students can show off some of what they have learned and created in the past week for both themselves and friends and family.
As we come out of these troubling times, remember the artists and arts organizations across Tennessee who have had to suspend operations for an indefinite time. A great way to show your support is through the Tennessee Specialty License Plate program.
